I am feeling very good about the training yesterday- thank you SO much. [A local rescue] had asked me to give them feedback and I will definitely give high marks for these first two sessions.  Sofie is already exhibiting more courageous behavior - so I am so so happy... and so encouraged.

We just want you to know that we are really enjoying our "new" puppy. She not only looks different, but also is acting different. This is all in a good way. Chuck and I appreciate all you did for Winnie and for us. We are giving her lots of treats and lots of "lovey" praise and she seems to be reacting very well. If you ever need a recommendation, please let us know!

My mini dachshund Honey had her first photo shoot today! It was for target and you would have been so proud she was not even scared of the flash of the camera. Thanks for the help with her confidence!

Just wanted to deliver some good news to you.... Couldn't wait 'til Sunday. :-) I got off early from work today, so had a chance to do some work with Axel. I was happy and confident and took him to, prepare for it...... the dog park! I am not a fan of them, but I used the situation for training. We stayed on the parameters of the park and it is not fenced in so a very nice open space, lots of trees and you can go down to the river. Only one dog came over to check us out and Axel was at the end of his leash standing on his hind feet..... The rest of the time (about 20 min) he was very focused with me. When I noticed his body even tighten a little, I just stepped into him calmly and we moved a few feet away from the stimulus and he was able to redirect and pay attention to me. It was a lot of fun! I think most people there could tell we were working, so no one really came over by us. (Either that, they figured Axel was a "bad" dog) :-) We will keep going on this regiment! I don't want to move too quickly either, so we for sure take note of the proximity and just calmly redirect. Keeping calm has made a huge difference. :-)

Have a wonderful holiday, see you soon. and Thank you!

and Nick, Gerdie and Axel too!

I wanted to let you know how helpful the last class was for us. It was great working with Stella when another reactive dog was around. The more she is confronted with these situations the more she can learn how to deal with it in a calmer way.

Thanks,
- Bernie

Hello there! I was cleaning my email box and came across this. I just wanted to check in with you to let you know that Zucca is doing great! I am still trying to find her a wonderful forever home. She snuggles on the couch with me now but mostly down by my legs and feet when I am laying. She did snuggle with me this morning, like right next to me as I was sitting on the couch :) Her eye contact is awesome! She still loves to snifff EVERYTHING so I just tell her what a good girl she is when she does that :). I love her quirks and I am pretty sure she is sick of my singing to her. LOL
Just wanted to give you a quick update.
Hope all is well!!
- Estelle and Zucca Pie ;)
